HR Generalist - Union experience required

A national paper products manufacturing company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR initiatives for their facility in Monroe, LA. Responsibilities include performing duties that support HR policy and goals to promote a “high-performance” culture.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Partner with HR leadership and line-management to implement initiatives that support the companies’ long term objectives
• Perform operational tasks related to labor relations/grievances, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding & compliance
• Ensure HR policy in compliance with state regulation and standards
• Align department with organizational growth and change through staffing, talent development, organization design, performance management and succession planning
• Utilize reporting tools to acquire and analyze metrics to support data driven decision-making

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Minimum 2 years of human resources experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous union, labor relations experience required
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to Human Resources
• Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Previous experience with ER and/or labor relations
• Must have strong analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills

·       High intermediate to advanced Excel skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
