Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at Rotolo's Pizzeria. As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious dishes in a timely manner. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are prepared to the highest quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items, including pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches.

Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in quality and taste.

Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Stock and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.

Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure prompt and efficient service.

Help with the preparation of prep items and mise en place as needed.

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Provide assistance and support to fellow cooks and kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar establishment.

Knowledge of different cooking techniques and culinary terminology.

Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders simultaneously.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively with fellow kitchen staff.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook or similar role
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
• Ability to follow recipes and adhere to food safety guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Food handler's certificate or similar certification preferred
