Accounting Associate

Hire Resolve's esteemed Oil & Gas client is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join their team in Lafayette. The successful candidate will play a key role in the finance department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Conducting analysis of budget to actual results and providing recommendations.
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Supporting external audits and ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
• Maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
• Assisting with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis.

Candidates should have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, as well as 2+ years of experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of GAAP, proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required. The ideal candidate should be highly detail-oriented, organized, and have excellent communication skills.

Requirements

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- 2+ years of experience in accounting or related role

- Strong knowledge of GAAP

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

- Detail-oriented and highly organized

- Excellent communication skills
