Welder

As a Welder at KMG, you will be responsible for welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding method based on materials and specifications.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (e.g., flat, vertical, overhead).
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Perform welding repairs as necessary to correct defects or deficiencies.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good condition and perform routine maintenance.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a welder or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding techniques.
• Familiarity with welding safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding is preferred.
