POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees warehouse operations as a hands-on leader, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere. They will supervise, measure, and continuously improve all inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movement.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to operational procedures.
· Supervision, training, and direct assistance of warehouse operations including picking/packing, shipping, receiving, put away, and inventory control.
· Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
· Assist in setting controls, monitor operating capacity, and adjust work assignments to fulfill commitments to meet overall operational goals and objectives.
· Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
· Meet, measure, and report KPI’s to Operations Manager on scheduled cadence.
· Responsible to help oversee the Warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
· Assist in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
· Assist in implementing lean ideas and 5S activities.
· Support Manager of Warehouse Operations in maintaining expenses in line with Annual Operating Plan.
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Bachelor/Associate degree in Logistics, Business or related field a plus
· 3+ years successfully supervising a warehouse team of 10+
· Proficient in Microsoft suite
· Warehouse Management software, WMS, TMS and Oracle experience a plus
· Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
· Excellent interpersonal, leadership and conflict resolution skills
· Critical thinker with a proactive approach to problem solving
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with Customer Service, Procurement, Traffic and other teams as required
