The Role

The Utility Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of products within our warehouse and timely, efficient deliveries to our valued customers. This multifaceted position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the physical demands of warehouse operations and delivery logistics.

Key Responsibilities

· Build orders accurately based on load tickets, ensuring meticulous handling and movement of products to maintain date code accuracy and rotation standards.

· Maintain adherence to warehouse best practices and safety standards while striving to meet productivity requirements.

· Stage completed pallets efficiently in designated areas for seamless loading into delivery vehicles.

· Safely load and unload products into/from delivery vehicles utilizing various methods like liftgates, carts, hand trucks, or pallet jacks.

· Operate commercial vehicles with professionalism, conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and demonstrating adaptability in congested areas with limited space and obstacles.

· Execute instructions proficiently and utilize technology to manage inventory on the truck, check in products at retailers, and ensure balanced inventory at the end of each shift.

· Use barcode scanners to verify delivered products and handle returned items as required.

· Actively stock retailer shelves during deliveries to mitigate or prevent out-of-stock situations.

· Maintain consistent communication with Distribution and Operations Managers to manage and accommodate any necessary schedule changes for deliveries or pickups.

· Adhere strictly to local, state, and federal laws and company policies while ensuring all necessary administrative tasks are completed promptly.

Key Skills and Experience Required

· HS Diploma or GED

· A candidate must be 21 years of age or meet the minimum state legal age requirements.

· Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

· 6 months related experience.

· Forklift certified. Ability to operate manual/powered pallet jack.

· Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license

· Must obtain a valid DOT medical card prior to starting employment, ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation health and safety standards for commercial drivers
