Full Job Description
KMG Fabrication is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tube Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The Tube Assembler will be responsible for assembling and fabricating tubing systems according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role requires precision, technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Assemble and fabricate tubes and tube systems according to blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.
- Operate tube bending machines, cutting tools, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality standards are met.
- Prepare materials needed for tube assembly, including cutting, measuring, and bending tubing materials.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work closely with other team members, supervisors, and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
Requirements
- Previous experience in tube assembly, fabrication, or a related field preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to operate and maintain various fabrication tools and equipment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in assembly work.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, fabrication, or a related field is a plus.
