Resource Innovations is excited to welcome a passionate Small Business Energy Assessor to our team in Louisville, KY! This role will lead the charge for a utility-sponsored Small Business Audit & Direct Install Program.
In this position, you'll connect with customers to provide outreach and recruit them into the program, schedule and conduct engaging site visits, deliver thoughtful Energy Savings Reports, and install energy-efficient products. Plus, you’ll get to work closely with our fantastic local contractor network to ensure everything runs smoothly!
Your oversight will extend to commercial weatherization, HVAC, and water heating installation inspections. Working with partners to identify and implement effective solutions based on assessment findings and client feedback will be key to your success. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Resource Innovations’ program solutions.
We are seeking mission driven and career minded clean energy professionals with proven experience in energy auditing, building science, or related fields, along with established relationships within small businesses, rebate/incentive programs, and community development. Strong leadership skills, a focus on team building and customer service, and knowledge of relevant standards and practices are essential. Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct outreach, educate and assist customers and contractors so they may effectively participate in and promote energy-efficiency programs.
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with customers and contractors.
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to recruit new small business customers.
- Manage scheduling process for customer assessments, including detailed documentation of customer facilities.
- Conduct onsite inspections, create energy reports, and address any issues identified.
- Implement energy assessment protocols and QA/QC requirements to enhance program effectiveness.
- Coordinate with lighting other industry-relevant trade allies; Train and coach them on program requirements and software.
- Oversee field inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship by trade allies.
- Review installation reports and manage invoicing process.
- Generate regular performance reports and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stay updated on industry trends to maintain relevant program materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must reside near the metropolitan areas Louisville or Lexington, KY
- 2+ years of experience in a quality control/quality assurance role or in consulting, energy efficiency, or utility experience.
- Knowledge of building science, construction, and technical expertise is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Maintain current auto insurance coverage that meets state requirements.
- Access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel; ability to travel 25-75% (limited overnight travel).
- Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.
