Senior Financial Analyst - Logistics/Warehousing

The Role:

This role reports to the Finance Manager – Logistics & Warehousing and is responsible for financial support of the logistics and warehousing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and report shipping and storage costs within the supply chain to aid in building future budgets and forecasts, complete variance analyses.
• Own the freight, fulfillment, and 3PL accounts within the P&L. Collaborate with broader finance team to help create the monthly COGS forecast.
• Conduct financial analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities. Partner the Logistics and Transportation operations teams to make business decisions and help achieve savings.
• Track key contractual agreements metrics that have financial implications (e.g. contractual volume agreements).
• Help define, track, and audit supply chain productivity & related KPIs.
• Support efforts in the development, implementation, and maintenance of analytical tools used to analyze data for supporting financial analysis.
• Support Finance Manager – Logistics & Warehousing in ad hoc needs and projects.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
• 3+ years of finance experience (investment banking, financial consulting, corporate finance, FP&A, etc.).
• Knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, financial modeling, and financial reporting including GAAP accounting.
• Knowledge of how to read financial statements (e.g. Income Statement, Balance Sheet)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Demonstrated self-starter and team collaboration skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Oracle NetSuite experience preferred.
• CPG Industry experience preferred; ideally, with understanding of contract supply chain structures and relationships.
