The Role:
Congo Brands is seeking a Senior Demand Planner. In this role, you will be expected to build sales forecasts accurately and reliably. You will be expected to champion our S&OP process while influencing cross-functional partners in making data driven forecast changes. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the total demand plan is shared accurately when complete. As a champion of our process, you will also become an expert in the upstream & downstream constraints our cross-functional partners face so we can more effectively communicate.
This role is on-site in Louisville, KY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a forecast at an item level detail and collaborate with Sales partners to accurately forecast promotional activities, competitive products, seasonality, retail consumption, and customer behavior.
- Understand both upstream and downstream constraints for cross-functional partners.
- Ensure that the plan is correctly shared with our supply planners across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Influence forecasting partners based on analytical review of recent history and market conditions.
- Drive process adherence within a newly stood up S&OP environment.
- Manage new product introductions in the system.
- Perform analysis and provide reports of history trends etc. on individual and group product performances.
- Ability to hold business partners accountable for deadlines.
- Include future sales and marketing promotions. Account for sales forecast overrides and customer input and collaborate with salespeople to validate all forecast intelligence.
Key Skills and Experience Preferred:
- BS or BA degree preferred
- 5+ years relevant experience. Specific demand planning experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in a similar role.
- Candidate should understand MPE and how bias impacts forecasting.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
- Team oriented, driven to share learnings and knowledge amongst our team to ensure optimum solutions.
