The Role:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will support and facilitate our growth in the Beverage, Nutrition, and Personal Care sectors. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to oversee the quality assurance program of our warehousing and inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain QA retain program
  • Manage the shipments of standard sensory samples to co-packers
  • Ensure full quality compliance with external 3PL locations
  • Complete weekly and monthly warehouse internal audits
  • Actively participate in meetings with internal development teams, third party contract manufacturers.
  • Provide additional support for certification programs.
  • Provide support for warehouse cGMP compliance.
  • Maintenance of quality and safety standards for all products and collaborate with cross-functional resources (Operations, Product Development, etc.) to implement and maintain best practices.
  • Ensure appropriate actions based on the risk assessment and overall risks are taken.
  • Aid in executing sampling and testing plans for raw materials and finished products to ensure design conformance and safety.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance, including 21 CFR Part 111 and Part 117.
  • Edit and train fellow employees to quality documents, standard operating procedures, and quality forms.
  • Implement, and maintain quality, safety, and efficacy standards for all products.
  • Support QA program for FDA audit readiness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Food Science, Food Production, Microbiology or Quality Control
  • 1+ years of experience in the responsibility of food and supplement quality role.
  • 1+ years of Project Management experience at a CPG company or other related industry like Food and beverage, Wine and Spirits, Dairy, Food Production, etc.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, regulatory affairs, business processes (stage gates), consumer complaints, GMP warehouse standards, and quality documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated strength in inspiring a team-oriented collaborative environment.
  • Has a demonstrated passion that aligns with the core values of Congo Brands
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
