Print Art Production Internship (Louisville, KY Metro Ony)

Congo Brands’ creative department is looking for a technically proficient art production intern candidate who can take direction in producing graphic art files and assets in print media. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of current graphic design software and have basic knowledge the print production process. The candidate should possess the skills to take direction, layout and/or finalize files for each project that is assigned.

Objectives of this role

• Work on a wide range of print projects, using various software programs to execute innovative graphic design projects
• Obtain input from a Print Lead to ensure that files meet appropriate standards and final art expectations
• Can time-manage efficiently to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Take print design direction from team or Print Lead on a wide range of materials that may include packaging, posters, displays, presentations, point-of-purchase, mock renderings and photo retouching
• Turn print design files into high-quality final art within an established brand identity
• Execute the print art production and uploading process for project assets, based on best practices used by the team

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Self-motivated, problem-solving print art producing skills
• Competency in Adobe Creative Suite design software apps
• Good communication and direction taking skills
• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to continue building skillset with mentorship and training

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Experience (Academic or professional) in graphic design print projects
• Junior level, or higher, studies in graphic design, art, or related discipline
• Working knowledge of creating print graphic assets
• Basic photography knowledge and competency with photo-editing software
