Part-Time Merchandiser

The Role:  

A Merchandiser is a field-based job responsible for keeping our products fully stocked and rotated on the shelves, coolers, racks, and displays of our retail customers. They work hard, along with our sales and delivery teams, to keep our brands available to the consumer thereby increasing our sales.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Effectively communicate with all key decision makers in the assigned retail stores. 
  • Fill shelves, replenish existing displays, build new displays, fill coolers, clean product and displays, rotate product. 
  • Keep backstock organized. 
  • Communicate problems, needs, and successes with Congo Field Sales Reps and Congo District Manager. 
  • Complete needed administration through CRM. 

 

Key Skills and Experience Required: 

  • 5 years’ experience managing Non-Traditional Accounts (specifically Transportation, Cruise Lines, and Airports). 
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach. 
  • Existing knowledge of regional off premise chains within assigned territory. 
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Must be organized with the ability to work both independently and within team environment. 
  • Must be adaptive to change within organization and industry. 
  • Must be willing to travel to meet with assigned customers. 
  • Results oriented, innovative, strong problem solving and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Display integrity, character, and strong leadership skills. 
  • Valid Driver’s License.

 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Retail experience in grocery, mass, or drug store 
  • Beverage industry experience 

 

Education Requirements 

  • High School Diploma or GED
