The Role:
Congo Brands is seeking an Operations Manager, Inventory to join our team. The Operations Manager, Inventory is a solutions-oriented leader adept at navigating complex processes and guiding teams. This individual will foster effective communication between internal departments, including warehouse, external manufacturing, customer supply chain, and transportation, to ensure inventory is in the right place, at the right time. The Operations Manager, Inventory will take charge of weekly communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a seamless and mutually beneficial business relationship. This individual will ensure accurate and efficient inventory records and placement, while combating various changes to upstream and downstream issues within the supply chain.
This role is on-site at our Louisville, KY headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Provide strong leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations to drive individual and team growth.
- Create inventory strategies while analyzing data from 3pls, Customer Supply Chain and planning while delivering innovative processes to address bottlenecks and other issues.
- Monitor logistics and maintain supply chain inventory and records while finding cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
- Serve as the primary problem solver and go-to person for day-to-day inventory related issues, especially those concerning last-minute orders and challenges arising from production timing.
- Conduct weekly meetings with top 3PLs and internal stakeholders to address inventory capacity levels and proactively manage any arising issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Manufacturing and Logistics teams to minimize out of stocks and effectively address order-related challenges.
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports on essential metrics related to inventory capacity, health, and QA-related issues impacting inventory.
- Ensure timely and accurate entry and review of transfer orders and newly produced inventory.
- Facilitate discussions to prioritize inventory placement and allocation based on customer requirements and business priorities.
- Lead efforts to review and resolve internal stakeholder issues, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
- Work closely with the Accounting and Finance departments to reconcile daily transactions, ensuring that operational activities are accurately reflected in the financial records for month-end and financial reporting periods.
Key Skills and Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain operations with at least 3+ years in a leadership position
- Food, Beverage, and/or CPG strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and projects to support new business initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external customers.
- Ability to accurately execute solutions and implement new processes to ensure an efficient system.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to utilize advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools effectively.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and present summary-level information to key stakeholders.
- NetSuite experience preferred.
