Aspire Medical Staffing is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team at the Intrepid Spirit/National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) Fort Campbell. At Aspire Medical Staffing, we believe in the power of therapy to help individuals, couples, and families overcome challenges and improve their mental health and well-being.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist at Aspire Medical Staffing, you will have the opportunity to work with our military population and provide individual, couples, and family therapy. You will assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and facilitate therapeutic interventions with the goal of promoting healthy relationships and improving overall mental health.

Work Schedule:

  • 0730-1600 Monday-Friday with a 30 min unpaid lunch break

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree: Master’s Degree.
  • Education: Master’s degree in Family Therapy as recommended by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapist (AAMFT).
  • Licensure: Possess and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Certification: Possess and maintain a current Clinical Membership (Fellow) as a Marriage and Family Therapist from the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
  • Experience: Marriage and Family Therapist must have a minimum of two years’ experience within preceding three years working as a Family Therapist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Core Duties:

  • Perform assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, education, and referral services to individuals, couples and families. With the patient, conducts a relevant social, developmental and historical assessment to develop a treatment plan that encompasses relevant information for family education, counseling and referrals. The education services would include workshops on family dynamics and the impact of substance abuse disorders on families.
  • As a member of the inter-disciplinary treatment team, provide effective interface with team members regarding identification of treatment concerns, appropriate interventions and referrals as related to family dynamics and past/current history of abuse.
  • Integrate, initiate and effectively introduce patient and family members (as indicated) into an education/counseling process. Individual, couples and family dynamics are identified as related to their treatment process and entry into early recovery, from a systems perspective (except where contraindicated such as psychological stability or history of violence).
  • Assess for and report spouse, child and elder abuse where indicated by state and federal laws while accessing appropriate services.
  • Use family program assessments to develop individualized treatment plans for families and make recommendations for services for after care in coordination with the clinical (civilian and military) community and patient family.
  • Serve as a Licensed Independent Practitioner and engage in the peer review process. Seek consultation for clinical issues outside the scope of practice.
  • Facilitate couple and/or spouse education workshops for patients and their spouses where alcohol/drug dependency may impact the family through the use of films, communication exercises and didactic presentations, facilitates discussions and education of patients and their families.
