Full Job Description

As a Machine Operator at KMG, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery used in the manufacturing process. You will ensure that machines are functioning efficiently and safely, while adhering to quality standards and production schedules.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Operate and monitor machinery used in the production process.
  • Set up machines according to specifications and ensure they are running correctly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Report any malfunctions or abnormalities to maintenance or supervisory staff.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
