Internship Overview:

Our internship program is designed to invest in the future generation of talent. This eleven-week program is centered around the principles of continuous learning, financial stewardship, building relationships, and community involvement, striving to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our interns and the communities we serve.

Position Summary

The Loan Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of our lending department, providing valuable insights into loan processing, reporting, software testing, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in finance, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review loan documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of checklists to track document receipt and outstanding items.
  • Follow up with internal teams to obtain missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining loan operations reports for tracking performance, exceptions, and compliance metrics.
  • Organize and maintain physical and digital loan files in accordance with company policies.
  • Participate in testing loan management and operational software to identify issues and provide feedback.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Collaborate with other team members from Credit Administration and other departments such as Risk and IT on various projects.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in finance, business, or another related field.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of banking.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and other departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial documents and data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
