The Role

As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for designing and concepting across multiple brands. You will ensure consistency as you design for packaging, labels, and marketing initiatives. You will work along with our ACD of Print, concepting for new innovations across multiple brands, as part of the print team. The candidate for this position should be familiar with various print methods, and be eager to learn about new capabilities and possibilities in this ever-changing market.

You will work closely with the Associate Creative Director of Print, making the highest-quality designs for packaging, and other marketing initiatives, presenting visual concepts and ideas in an organized, compelling, effective manner. We are looking for someone who demonstrates strategic and conceptual thinking, a strong taste level, and experience in art direction, typography, and graphic design. You will work with the creative and marketing teams to produce on-brand assets, and ensure designs consistently align with the established brand guidelines. 

In This Role, You Will:

  • Align with the VP of Creative to ensure consistent direction, style, and methodology.
  • Innovate and present new and creative packaging that maintains but also pushes current brand standards and expectations. 
  • Work closely with the ACD of Print and ACD of Point-Of-Purchase, creating high quality, competitive packaging, point of purchase, and pieces for retail distribution including some e-commerce.
  • Assist in overseeing quality control of all packaging and print materials
  • Maintain and build upon the look, feel, accuracy, and functionality of each of our brands' identities.
  • Review all art and photography to ensure factual accuracy and adequacy of selling messages and creative effectiveness.
  • Have personal accountability for the accuracy of all final art for assigned projects.
  • Work with the project management team and print vendors to establish production specs for all visuals.
  • Set the bar high and get there fast without sacrificing quality for speed.
  • Perform competitive assessments and provide innovative alternatives, as well as research and understand design, marketing, and technology trends.
  • Produce sketches to visualize ideas and concepts.
  • Continue to learn new tools and techniques that can be applied to your design, typography, composition, and storytelling abilities.
  • Work within our company's branding docs to make sure all fonts, colors, and brand voices are represented in final work.

  • You have no problem rolling up your sleeves and hustling in order to get the job done.
  • You must be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment where ambiguity and short turnaround schedules are the standard.
  • You excel in managing multiple projects, priorities, and people concurrently.
  • You constantly seek out information to remain current on media and advertising trends.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in branding and package/print design
  • Skilled in working under pressure and delivering results within tight deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Fluent in all creative software (i.e. Adobe Creative Cloud), prototyping tools, etc. and familiar with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience designing 3D mockups (i.e. Adobe Dimension) is preferred but not required
  • Conceptual thinker that brings communication strategies to life in a unique and meaningful way
  • Strong foundational skills including composition, design, and color theory
  • Must have the ability to take constructive criticism and maintain a professional attitude
  • Strong illustration and pre-press production skills
  • Maintain a high level of quality while working within design and deadline constraints
  • Exhibit a high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to travel for occasional press checks.
