Full Job Description
The Electrical Assembler at KMG Fabrication is responsible for assembling and wiring electrical panels, sub-assemblies, and systems according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. The role involves precise work with electrical components, tools, and equipment to ensure high-quality, reliable products that meet company and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Assemble electrical components and systems according to detailed specifications.
- Perform wiring and cable routing within panels and enclosures.
- Install electrical components such as circuit breakers, transformers, relays, and connectors.
- Ensure assemblies meet design and quality standards.
- Complete required documentation for each assembly project, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Work closely with team members, engineers, and supervisors to achieve production goals.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements.
Requirements
- Technical training or certification in electrical assembly or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in electrical assembly, wiring, or a related field.
- Experience working with electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for electrical assembly.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Basic understanding of electrical theory and principles.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work with hands for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- The role is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various electrical components and assembly tools.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
