Business Intelligence Developer

The Role: 

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, the Business Intelligence Developer will be critical in transforming raw data into meaningful, actionable insights. This position will perform reporting application development, administration, support, user training, and data management responsibilities as necessary. 

This is an in-office, full-time position at Congo Brands HQ in Louisville, KY.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, operate, and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and processes. 
• Create interactive visual representations. 
• Delivery of reporting and analytic insights using Power BI. 
• Provide estimates for design, build, and implementation activities. 
• Support the normalizing of data across internal and external sources. 
• Define and execute test cases. 
• Participates in PowerBi Workspace design and security activities. 
• Manage ongoing support requests and administrative needs of users. 
• Assist with testing for deployment, upgrade, and other report changes 
• Regularly report project and task status in DevOps
• Develop training plans, materials, and documentation for database users; keep materials up-to-date and coordinate new user and ongoing training sessions. 
• Provide hands-on user support, training and ensure user/technical manuals are maintained.
• Leverage system to improve and streamline reporting processes. 
• Create and update application and database documentation. 
• Work with various functions and end users to identify, document, and communicate standard business processes as they relate to the data system. 
• Work with management to identify new and creative opportunities to leverage the applications to support additional business processes or functions. 
• Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders and executive sponsors. 

Key Skills and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field/equivalent professional work experience in lieu of a degree. 
• 5+ years’ experience in data preparation, data warehousing projects, and Microsoft PowerBI. 
• 3+ years of experience working with various ERP Modules, such as WMS, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Order-to-Cash, and Finance & Accounting Data. 
• Strong knowledge of SQL server and familiarity with scripting and programming. 
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, database design, data normalizing and maintenance, requirements analysis, and data management activities and requirements. 
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization. 
• Strong documentation and training skills  
• Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team focused on overdelivering customer’s needs. 
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently in varying complexity. 
• Proficient in data analysis. 
• Problem solver with strong attention to detail and excellent analytical and communication skills  
• Has a demonstrated passion that aligns with the core values of Congo Brands. 
• Extensive experience with Power BI 
• Experience in managing projects within DevOps. 
• Experience with NetSuite ERP Data Architecture. 
• Exposure to a high-growth and/or CPG environment is a plus!
• Master’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems is a plus!
