POSITION SUMMARY:

The APL Assembler is responsible for assembling parts and components according to specifications and ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role involves working with various tools and equipment, reading blueprints, and following detailed assembly instructions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production instructions to assemble parts accurately.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to perform assembly tasks.
• Ensure all assembled products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Inspect and test completed assemblies to identify any defects or issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols and guidelines.
• Record and report any discrepancies or issues encountered during the assembly process.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes.
• Support and adhere to all Lean and 5S initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
