Animal Hospital Aide Job Description:

An Animal Hospital Aide will assist our veterinary care teams with daily tasks, transporting pets to and from client homes, assisting veterinarians in our mobile veterinary vehicles, and much more. If you have any kind of experience handling domestic animals, we can provide on-the-job training for the rest of your job responsibilities! Duties of an Animal Hospital Aide:

• Restraining pets
• Providing general assistance for veterinarians and veterinary nurses
• Pet transport to and from client homes
• Some kennel care
• Assisting pet groomers
• and more.

Requirements

While we will provide on-the-job animal hospital aide training, having some prior experience handling dogs and cats (such as working at a pet rescue, an animal shelter, a pet boarding facility, a pet grooming facility, as a pet sitter, or within an animal hospital, etc.) is ideal.

Occasional Multi-Location Assistance:

PetWow has multiple locations within the Greater-Cincinnati / Northern-Kentucky area. While team members are almost always scheduled at the location for which they applied; on rare occasion, team members will be asked to temporarily help out at a different PetWow location for one of the following reasons:

• To cover a shift for an absent team member at another location (usually a single day)
• To cover during a vacation taken by a team member at another location (usually no longer than a week)
• To temporarily cover a role at another location while a permanent replacement for that role is recruited, hired, and trained (usually no more than 60-90 days)
  • Includes higher pay rate during the coverage period to compensate for longer commute!
