We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist at NCG Associates, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions, providing essential care and support to patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory ailments and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy
- Perform diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment
- Assist with the insertion and management of artificial airways, such as endotracheal tubes and tracheostomy tubes
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and home care techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Stay updated with advancements in respiratory therapy techniques and participate in continuing education activities
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current and unrestricted license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques, equipment, and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare software
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Pay Rate: Attractive and would be discussed during interview

Shift : Night, 18:00-06:30
Weekend Rotation: Every Other Weekend
On-Call: None
Holiday: required, will review with the department manager
Floating: None
Experience Required: 2 years
RRT License Required: KS state license
Certificates Required: ACLS; BLS; NRP; (PALS preferred)
