NCG Associates is a reputable healthcare staffing agency dedicated to providing exceptional nursing professionals to healthcare facilities nationwide. We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit.
As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at NCG Associates, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients who require continuous monitoring and intermediate-level nursing care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, vital signs, and telemetry
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in nursing practices and participate in professional development activities
Requirements
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- BSN preferred but we do take ADN with willingness to sign a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years, 2 years of RN experience
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a progressive care or similar unit
- Specialized knowledge and skills in cardiac telemetry and rhythm interpretation
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- BLS and ACLS certification (Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Weekend requirement: Every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

Desired Start Date: ASAP Base Hourly Pay/Salary Range: Shift/Weekend/On-call differentials: Based on experience,
Evening 1500-2230: $3.50 Night 2300-0730: $5.00 Weekend 1500 Friday-0659 Monday: $2.25

Unit Description: Patient population: post-op day one Open Hearts, Vascular surgeries, titratable drips (excluding pressors), ICU step-down level of care, DKA I, Bipap, Opti Flow, Covid-19, Neurological/ Post-TPA patient (stroke), Dialysis, surgical spine patients, TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), Fempop, Cardiovascular. Beds per unit: 15 Tech or equipment used on the unit: Bipap, Cpap, Opti Flow, O2, Hoyer lift, sit to stand lift, Nihon Khoden Central monitoring- telemetry, ECG machines, Accu-Chek, IV pumps
Required Qualifications: BSN preferred but we do take ADN with willingness to sign a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years, 2 years of RN experience
