Mize CPAs Inc. was recently named a Top 200 Workplace for 2024 by USA Today! We are a leading regional accounting and IT firm with offices in Topeka and Overland Park, Kansas. Our firm works with clients in a number of industries and has a rapidly growing restaurant and hospitality division that serves clients nationwide.
We are looking for an in-person only Office Associate Manager in the Overland Park office. Full-time availability is needed, 2300 hours per year. This position cannot be performed remotely.
If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have experience with office operations, implementing personnel and general administrative policies and procedures, and executing leadership decisions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Interview, select, and train administrative staff and allocate responsibilities among staff members as necessary to accomplish efficient operations in the office
- Standardize and periodically review office procedures, forms, files, etc.
- Order and control OP office supplies, furniture, and equipment; analyze and recommend new furniture and equipment purchases as required
- Oversee the office bill payment process through coordination with the Internal Controller’s team
- Manage daily building issues and oversee all building communications with real estate vendor, excluding contract negotiations
- Maintain Tax billing and charges in billing system as well as assist with tax client billing
- Supervise record retention and record release procedures including management of offsite storage locations
- Coordinate new employee orientation meetings
- Ability to work the hours necessary to meet deadlines for work assigned
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Individuals at this level typically have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of three years' office experience
- Typing, 10-key, intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a CPA firm or professional office environment
- Office supervisory experience
