City Wide Franchise is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to join our team!
The L&D Specialist will work closely with subject matter experts to design and develop corporate instructor-led and eLearning training programs, including, job aids, workbooks, Scorm Compliant courses, and multimedia presentations. In addition to training program development this team member will also facilitate onsite workshops, and other instructor led training. The position requires understanding of adult learning principles, gathering and analyzing business/functional requirements, and managing multiple projects and plans.
This is an in-office position working Monday-Friday, standard business hours.
In this career opportunity, you will…
- Design and develop training materials to support both instructor-led training and online programs based upon adult learning principles, sales training experience is a plus.
- Develop job aids such as online training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, eLearning tutorials and reference works.
- Facilitate instructor led training programs, including Webinar based training sessions
- LMS Administrator responsibilities with new courses, report on attendance and access to online and ILT courses
- Perform needs analysis to identify training needs and objectives
- Project manage training development initiatives and coordination with SMEs
- Support on-boarding process of new Franchisees as necessary
- Produce dynamic multimedia content for eLearning using software to construct courses and programs (Storyline, Camtasia, MS Office Suite).

Requirements
You will have…
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in related field.
- At least three (3) years of successful experience in technical course development, corporate facilitation skills, and recreating the wheel of course creation.
- Background or proven experience creating effective learning and development modules required.
- Knowledge of eLearning and related software, including: Adobe Creative Suite with Articulate or Captivate
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Sales Knowledge is a plus
- Experience with Learning Management Systems
- Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of employees
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Ability to Travel up to 25%
- Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m in our Corporate location in Lenexa, KS.
