We are currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our People and Culture Team. The Human Resources Business Partner will act as the primary HR contact for a designated business group within the bank. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with senior leadership to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, workforce engagement, and culture alignment.
A successful candidate will have:
- Ability to align HR strategies with business goals and drive organizational effectiveness.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Proven track record in managing performance processes, developing talent, and partnering on training initiatives.
- Solid experience in resolving employee relations issues and acting as a trusted advisor.
- In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
- Demonstrated success in full-cycle recruiting for senior roles and maintaining a strong candidate pipeline.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and make informed decisions.

Essential functions of the role:
Strategic Partnership:
- Act as the primary HR contact for a designated business group, collaborating with senior leadership to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support them
- Partner with leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, workforce engagement, and culture alignment
Talent Management
- Identify training needs within the business group and partner with the Learning and Development team to design and deliver targeted programs
- Support the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, and annual reviews
- Support the implementation talent review process required to achieve business goals
- Support managers with career conversations, Individual Development Plans, and other development initiatives
- Support managers and employees in identifying opportunities to further develop functional and managerial skills
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor for managers and employees on HR-related issues, including conflict resolution
- Work independently to resolve straightforward and moderate employee relations issues
- Assist to resolve complex employee relations issues and conducting employee investigations
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations within the business group
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to employment practices, policies, and recruitment
Senior Level Recruiting
- Perform full cycle recruiting activities including sourcing, interviewing, negotiating and extending offers for senior levels roles
- Partner with hiring managers to develop competitive sourcing strategies for assigned requisitions and communicate with hiring managers on a continuous basis
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of high-caliber candidates for critical leadership roles, leveraging internal and external networks
Other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job
Requirements
- BA in HR preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HRBP or generalist role
- Banking industry experience preferred
- Proficiency with large server-based applications and typical desktop software
