We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Full Time MRI Technician to join our team in the Radiology department. As an MRI Technician at NCG Associates, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic scans according to established protocols and physician orders
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during the scanning process
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to evaluate and interpret imaging results
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient information and scan results
  • Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues to ensure proper functioning
  • Administer contrast agents as necessary to enhance imaging
  • Foster a compassionate and professional environment for patients and their families
  • Stay current with advances in MRI technology and techniques through continuous learning and professional development

Requirements

  • Certification as an MRI Technician from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Graduate AMA approved School of Radiologic Equipment used: Siemens 1.5 T Sola, Cerner, Unity PACS, Interview PACS
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technician
  • Strong knowledge of MRI scanning techniques, protocols, and safety measures
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting MRI equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality images
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
  • Flexibility to work full-time hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Assignment Location: Olathe, KS 66061

Position Title: MRI Technologist

Part-time or Full-time: Full Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday 1:30pm-10:30pm

Weekend Requirement: Only when on-call

On-call Requirement: On call 10:30pm-6:30am / 24 hours during weekends. The on call is every 5th week.

Holiday Requirement: Required, rotate with staff.

Any Travel Required (between more than 1 Location): No

Desired Start Date: ASAP Base Hourly Pay/Salary Range: $32.82 – 42.63 (mid point)

Shift/Weekend/On-Call differentials: Yes – review with manger during interview

Job Description/General Duties: The MRI technologist is responsible for producing quality MR images while providing optimal patient care and applying all principles of patient safety. MRI technologists are expected to participate in on-going training and education relating to positioning, technique and MRI safety guidelines. MR procedures are performed at multiple locations across the health system; this person shall maintain a patient-centered focus and strive to support the mission, goals and values of University of Kansas Health System and radiology department.

Required Qualifications: Graduate AMA approved School of Radiologic Equipment used: Siemens 1.5 T Sola, Cerner, Unity PACS, Interview PACS

Preferred Qualifications: at least a year. Confident with pacemakers, busy ER. Level 1 or level 2 trauma would be good

License Required: Registered Radiographer (ARRT)

Certificates Required: BLS
