Full Time Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

We are currently hiring a Full-Time Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. As a Cardiac Telemetry RN at NCG Associates, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients with cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
• Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Assess and document patients' cardiac status, symptoms, and vital signs
• Respond to changes in patients' conditions and notify the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding cardiac health
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures related to cardiac monitoring
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiac nursing practices through continuing education
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• BSN preferred but we do take ADN with willingness to sign a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years, 1 Year of RN Hospital experience
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Telemetry nursing
• Strong knowledge of cardiac nursing principles and practices
• Ability to assess and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare software

Base Hourly Pay/Salary Range: Mid Point Pay: $33-$40
Shift/Weekend/On-call differentials:
Evening 1500-2230: $3.50
Night 2300-0730: $5.00
Weekend 1500 Friday-0659 Monday: $2.25

Unit Description: Patient population: ?primarily acute cardiac patients, post invasive cardiac procedures, chest pain, acute illnesses such as (but not limited to) ETOH withdrawal, COVID, sepsis, tikosyn and Sotalol initiation and titration
Average census and nurse to patient ratio: 3 units totaling 59 beds (we staff for 45 beds) Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, 1-2 patient care techs on each unit depending on census and acuity
Beds per unit: 4 north (28 beds), 4 south (cardiac observation unit is 18 beds) and 4 East (13 beds)
Tech or equipment used on the unit: GE heart monitors, Masimo vital sign machines, Stryker beds
Required Qualifications: BSN preferred but we do take ADN with willingness to sign a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years, 1 Year of RN Hospital experience
Preferred Qualifications: BSN
License Required: KS RN
Certificated Required: ACLS & BLS required, TR band experience is required
