We are currently seeking a Exception Items Servicer to join our team in Wichita, Kansas. This role is an integral part of Emprise Bank’s Operations department and is responsible for exception item processing, account maintenance, process administration, and communication.

Essential functions of the role:
Exception Items Processing
- Perform audits of both inbound and outbound documents to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures
- Verify entries for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure exception items are identified, documented, communicated, and cleared timely
- Review daily queues and/or reports for non-posts, suspect stops, holds, suspect ACH, check fraud, bill pay, NSF items and chargebacks
- Complete research requests
- Teller Recon, research and resolve monthly account differences
- Identify potential fraud
- Review and correct exceptions
- Coordinate return items
- Send notices to customers
Account Maintenance
- Reactivate inactive accounts
- Resolve posting errors
- Review Reg CC holds
- Ensure service fees and charges are accurately applied
- Close accounts
- Complete charge off and documentation for deposit accounts, Cash Please and Fresh Starts
Process Administration
- Document standard operating procedures to ensure consistency in processes
- Review current processes for efficiency and effectiveness on an ongoing basis
- Collaborate across departments to seek process improvements
- Update procedures as needed
Communication
- Interact with Emprise associates, customers, other banks, and vendors relative to areas of concern involving transaction services
- Escalate issues as needed
Other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bank experience preferred
- Proficiency with large server based applications and typical desktop software
Monday – Friday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
