Global Life Science Hub is recruiting on behalf of a leading global CDMO. This organization specializes in providing comprehensive development and manufacturing services, with a significant international presence.
This position works very closely with the receiving, material handling, quarantining, releasing, warehousing functions, and serialization efforts and interacts frequently with purchasing, finance, quality, and other functions assuring appropriate levels of materials are available per the production plan for the Operations in Fort Dodge. In addition, responsible for support and expertise in packaging labeling and assembly equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Materials planning
- cGMP compliant inventory control
- Critical materials/parts availability
- SME for inventory control software (POMS net)
- SME for Serialization Track and Trace software.
- evelops and implements inventory plans, direct and indirect material budgets, and procedures to assure high level customer service level and other relevant department KPIs that reflect on function performance.
- Assures all material transactions meet CGMP requirements (21 CFR Parts 11, 210, 211, 600, 601, 610, and 820).
- Provides accurate inventory reports and reconciliation of inventories.
- Supports finance function with accurate valuation of inventory including cost planning for materials
- Interacts with peers in Manufacturing, Finance, Purchasing, Engineering and Product Development personnel to optimize systems and procedures.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Participates in corporate projects and programs related to Supply Chain Standards, Continuous Improvement Efforts, Cost Savings Initiatives, Inventory Reporting, Supplier Rating, cGMP Compliance, etc.
- Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements and interacts with executives.
- Directs and controls the activities of direct reports (Warehouse supervisor and planner), assess performance and set department goals.
- Assures shipping validation requirements for DS, DP and FP are met and are executed compliant with validation master plans and protocols.
- Other duties and projects assigned by management.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company’s processes. Participates with other managers in planning and developing action items to solve such issues, i.e. review department related SOPs and correct/modify as needed, manage deviations and implement CAPAs to continuously improve department compliance and related Change Controls (CRs).
- Interact with auditing agencies and represents function as SME during 3rd party, internal and FDA audits
- System Owner for MES inventory control software and ERP financial reporting related to inventory valuation and record accuracy.
- SME for Track and Trace Software and serialization, including adhering to GS1 Standards and FDA guidelines.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Inventory control and management in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Proven understanding of cGMP requirements related to function.
- Experience with ERP, MES, MRP, OSM or serialization software.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge in POMS net for inventory control software.
- Knowledge in Serialization Track and Trace software.
- Demonstrated skills in data manipulation, sorting and analysis, i.e., creating queries, pivot tables and dashboard, primarily in MS Excel.
- SQL basics to execute queries
