ARETUM is actively seeking a Tactical Water Purification System (TWPS) / Rough Terrain Cargo Handler (RTCH) to join our experienced team. This position involves delivering training and technical expertise on both TWPS and RTCH systems to enhance operational efficiency within military contexts. As a key trainer, you will be responsible for ensuring that personnel are well-equipped to manage and operate these critical systems during varied operational conditions.

Responsibilities
- The Tactical Water Purification System (TWPS) / Rough Terrain Cargo Handler (RTCH) Instructor/Writer position supports the Army National Guard G44 (M) Maintenance Branch, Technician Skill Based Training Services Program. The TWPS Instructor will deliver technical training consistent with course content and objectives to teach Technicians on how to diagnose, troubleshoot and perform maintenance while attending courses at the Sustainment Training Center (STC) Camp Dodge Iowa. Develops tests, maintains, and delivers training content and related materials in support of the training program. Updates course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance, maintains technical resource library, and keeps records of training activities. May develop original or modifies course content as needed based on customer requirements, feedback, course evaluation results and relevant changes in industry.
Requirements
- The instruction/training will be in a small group instruction format consisting of 4 personnel for TWPS training and 10 personnel for RTCH training (these numbers may be adjusted up or down, due to number of Technicians present within the course). Training varies from classroom lecture to hands on instruction, or any combination of both. Training is approximately 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday with potentially one partial to full weekend per month
- The training instruction will include TWPS introduction, air system, water system, electrical system, operation, and pump maintenance. Diagnosing and troubleshooting the air, water, and electrical systems
- RTCH instruction consists of introduction to the RTCH and various automotive systems and hands on diagnostic and troubleshooting of the KALMAR (RTCH) V1R, V2 and V3 platforms with particular attention given to the electrical and hydraulic systems
- When no individuals are in training, then the maintenance instructor will function as maintenance staff ensuring the equipment is staged and prepared for upcoming course requirements, as well as sharpening their technical maintenance skill sets on various new pieces of equipment The trainer will be responsible for developing or modifying Program of Instructions (POI) and Training Support Packages (TSP); Terminal Learning Objectives (TLO), Enabling Learning Objectives (ELO) and Learning Step Activities
- Perform maintenance on equipment used during instruction
- Prior or Current 91J MOS performing maintenance on a TWPS or understanding of water purification systems or 91B MOS RTCH maintenance or civilian automotive and water treatment experience
- Previous experience in teaching; whether formal or informal
- Instructor qualified or willing to get qualified within six months
- Instruction Experience, how to write POI's - Programs of Instruction, TSP's - Training Support Packages, ELO's Enabling Learning Objectives, and lesson plans
- Must possess a general working knowledge of how the Army Supply System works
- Demonstrated facility using Microsoft versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
