Essential Duties:
Parts:
- Engage with customers to sell parts and accessories, understanding their needs and offering solutions.
- Conducts regular outbound calls to engage with new prospects and existing customers to promote departments and services.
- Makes on-site customer and prospect visits as directed by Parts Manager.
- Receive and process parts inventory, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Support technicians by supplying required parts and accessories promptly, minimizing downtime.
- Provide high-quality in-store customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist with inventory control, including stock checks.
Service:
- Receive incoming calls from customers regarding maintenance needs on equipment and dispatch technicians to job sites.
- Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager and ensure they are processed, closed, and invoiced in a timely manner.
- Invoice customers promptly upon completion of repair orders.
- Maintain Service Department filing and records.
- Update customer profiles with information from work orders.
- Monitor Service Technician efficiency reports.
- Address internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.
- Manage shortages and expedite issues by reporting to the manager.
- Oversee the rental process for the branch, including quoting, coordinating deliveries/pickups, customer billing, and tracking rental inventory.
- Prepare and manage rental agreements with customers.
- Assist in collection calls for past-due rental invoices as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a parts or service role within the material handling industry, or other related industry.
- Strong customer service skills with a track record of satisfying customers.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and parts cataloging.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and service-related software.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Ability to meet the physical demands and duration of exertion required for all job functions.
