Head of Supply Chain

Global Life Science Hub is a proud to be an exclusive partner on an executive search for a new Vice President of Supply Chain with an industry-leading, rapidly expanding end-to-end CDMO at the forefront of pioneering biopharmaceutical innovation.

The newly appointed candidate will step into a pivotal role overseeing 6 strategic sites across the US, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Tasked with driving operational excellence, this visionary leader will manage a $200M+ revenue, over 300 employees, and navigate more than 70 diverse client projects annually, ranging from preclinical stages to market delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic direction of the supply chain operations, overseeing procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
• Manage full P&L responsibility for the sites, driving profitability, and cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Develop and implement robust supply chain strategies to optimise processes, streamline workflows, and meet business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between supply chain activities and company goals, including close coordination with Research & Development, Sales & Marketing, and Finance departments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices, and enhancing operational efficiency throughout the supply chain.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
• Oversee the successful execution of global client projects annually, managing varied stages from preclinical to market delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a pharmaceutical related field.
• MBA or master’s in supply chain management would be highly desirable.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in progressively responsible roles within supply chain management or operations, preferably in the biopharmaceutical or related industry.
• Proven leadership skills, capable of setting strategic vision and executing supply chain strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Expertise in supply chain management principles, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and process optimisation.
• Financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibilities, budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis within supply chain operations.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with supply chain technologies, software, and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
