As a Dental Assistant, you will:
- Assist the dentist chair-side during exams and procedures, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
- Create a welcoming and calm environment for patients, helping ease anxieties and fostering trust.
- Collaborate with the dental team to maintain smooth workflow and excellent patient care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Licensure/Certification: Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in taking digital radiographs, making impressions, and using dental practice management software.
- Experience: Familiarity with back-office operations, clinical procedures, and scheduling systems.
- Physical Ability: Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, sitting, and lifting up to 35 lbs, with excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
- Compliance: Adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
- A commitment to maintaining a professional demeanor and pursuing ongoing education to stay updated on dental practices.
