Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspire the team to create a welcoming experience for each customer by greeting each individual.
- Ensure work occurs at a fast pace to meet speed expectations for LOF Xpress Service
- Tailor each guest’s experience based on the customer’s preference. Follow cues given by the customer to discern the needed approach and ensure the team does the same.
- Be knowledgeable on the services available at LOF Xpress and explain options clearly to customers.
- Promote teamwork and a professional environment for co-workers, vendors and customers and immediately address issues with the team when they arise.
- Communicate proactively and effectively with customers and co-workers through speech and writing.
- Be willing to cross train and work in other areas as needed.
- Maintain the facilities by assisting with clean-up tasks between assigned vehicles and at the end of shifts.
- Dress professionally, according to LOF Xpress policy and standards
- Maintain organization of tools and devices throughout the facility
- Provide direction to the team to meet expectations and deliver outstanding service and value to the guest.
- Assist with exterior maintenance of the facility to promote guest and team safety.
- Be the leader on LOF Xpress technology and be able to execute tasks using such technology and train the team to properly use equipment.
- Able to cashier and operate the point-of-sale system when needed.
- Work a varied work schedule based on customer demand and store hours.
- Work quickly, efficiently, and safely to deliver quality service to our customers.
- Follow all safety procedures as described in the handbook and safety manuals and other postings.
- Proven ability to complete tasks independently and with little supervision.
- Report to all shifts on time when scheduled.
- Follow procedures accurately and with attention to detail and understand how to appropriately prioritize tasks.
- Display proficiency in sales and service reviews
- Training requirements include all Team Member proficiencies as well as understanding mechanical aspects of warranties, choosing a training path: People Leadership, Trainer, or Technical Subject Matter Expert
- Serve as a trainer for new team members.
- Provide positive and constructive on-the-spot verbal coaching to correct issues and procedure violations that occur.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and critically think through issues that may arise during the service of a customer vehicle.
- Be cross-trained and willing to work in all store positions.
- Serve in a capacity as an emerging store leader, lead trainer, and Technical Subject Matter Expert
- Be able to handle and deescalate customer complaints and warranties.
- Process shift summaries and reporting in a manner that meets store expectations.
- Participate in weekly store meetings and bring valuable insights to discuss.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 Year of proven leadership experience
- Familiarity with technology and word processing
- Education – 2-year or 4-year college degree preferred. High school diploma required.
- At least 18 years of age
- Preferred experience includes 6-12 months in an automotive technician or lube technician role.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Extended periods of time standing on hard surfaces, such as concrete floors
- Exposure to loud noises and fumes
- Exposure to outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow
- Frequent need to push, pull, climb (stairs, step stools, ladders), bend at the knees and waist, twist at the waist, turn head-neck-shoulders; raise and hold arms overhead, grasp and hold tools and other items with your hands.
- Ability to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use power tools, cutting tools, and other tools as necessary.
- A valid and current Driver's License is required.
