Warehouse Manager
- Furniture manufacturer and distributor in the Chicago suburbs recently expanded and is hiring for a Warehouse Manager to organize, setup and expand operations

- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE FROM FURNITURE OR CABINET MFG / DISTRIBUTION
- Local candidates preferred
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 15+ associates by promoting a culture of safety throughout the operation and organization by following and enforcing all safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure operational excellence in all shipping and receiving areas
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement. Evaluate the effectiveness of work methods, procedures, systems, controls and staffing to improve operational productivity, efficient order processing, and accurate/timely order fulfillment.
- Establish and manage KPIs. Provide regular analysis and reporting (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Develop and maintain warehouse process documentation and procedures to meet all compliance or governing bodies’ requirements.
- Investigate customer complaints involving such matters as damaged product, overcharges, delays, picking, packing, or other situations related to the handling and transportation of goods to the customers. Takes the appropriate actions needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Review daily scheduling of personnel to ensure proper staffing (including temporary labor) to select and receive products in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
Requirements
Requirements:
- BS/BA/AAS or an equivalent of 2+ years of distribution/ operations / transportation / shipping /warehouse supervision experience required
- 2-5+ years of experience in distribution, shipping, warehousing, or transportation leadership role
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE FROM FURNITURE OR CABINET MFG / DISTRIBUTION
- Working knowledge of the following functions: Bills of Materials, Order Entry, Order Management, Inventory Management, and Transportation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills; ability to drive consensus and professionally confront challenging situations.
- Experience with WMS, MS Office and ERP systems with prior experience with implementation of systems is a plus
- Bilingual with Chinese / Mandarin speaking a plus.
