Cruise Control Auto Transport is a leading and fast-growing company in the automotive transportation industry. We specialize in transporting vehicles safely and efficiently across the country. We are currently seeking a highly organized Transportation Manager to join our team and oversee the smooth operations of our transportation department. As a Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the logistics of vehicle transport, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards in customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation management and a passion for providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the transportation department, including scheduling and dispatching transport vehicles.
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient pick-up and delivery of vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle transport, including documentation of customer information, vehicle details, and delivery routes.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with transportation regulations, including DOT requirements and safety standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and consistent customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.
- Evaluate and optimize transportation routes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance, including DOT requirements.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in using transportation management software and other computer applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong attention to detail.
