Resource Innovations is seeking a Transportation Electrification Program Manager to join our growing team in Chicago, Illinois. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager with strong expertise in program development and implementation to join our dynamic team. As a Program Manager, you will work with clients and the internal team to deliver transportation electrification solutions to utility customers. Through these offerings, our customers are supporting sustainability, decreasing carbon emissions, and integrating cutting edge solutions to their grid operations. You will manage client relationships, coordinate across internal and external teams to accomplish tasks, lead forecasting, accruals, and budget management, and support staff management, development, and training. Moreover, you’ll have the opportunity to help build standard operation procedures and playbooks as we grow our practice.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of transportation electrification initiatives, including V2G technologies with school districts and submetering technologies with Residential and Commercial customers, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with our technology partner, our local installation partner, school districts, and residential and commercial customers to promote programs and gather feedback. 
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all program activities comply with state and federal regulations regarding transportation and data privacy. 
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program success and prepare regular reports for stakeholders. 
  • Team Coordination: Manage partnerships with our subs, cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and support staff, to ensure effective collaboration and communication. Create agendas and facilitate meetings with our partners and our client on a monthly basis, or more frequently if needed. 
  • Research and Development: Stay abreast of transportation electrification industry trends and innovations to inform program enhancements and strategic planning.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to program success and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Chicago, IL within 30 days of acceptance
  • A Bachelors degree in business, engineering or relevant field of study 
  • 4 years of previous relevant project management experience is required; preferably in the solar, energy efficiency, stationary storage, or EV charging infrastructure fields 
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills  
  • Client management experience  
  • Highly motivated with the ability to be flexible and move seamlessly among tasks as priorities shift  
  • Excellent word, excel, outlook and power point skills; Asana, Smartsheets or equivalent a bonus  
  • Superior interpersonal/client skills; ability to handle confidential and sensitive information  
  • High degree of inter-cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with stakeholder engagement / familiarity with organizations across the ComEd territory 
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred  
  • Experience working with utility clients and/or school districts 
  • Previous automotive, solar, stationary storage, or EV charging program management experience
