The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology Foundation (Foundation) is a foundation created to enhance and expand the ability of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology (Alliance) to conduct cancer clinical research and address important treatment questions through large-scale clinical trials. Through efforts of the Foundation in support of the Alliance, clinical trials and laboratory research are conducted to discover new or improved ways to prevent, treat, and cure many types of cancer, including leukemia and lymphoma, and cancers of the breast, prostate, lung, and gastrointestinal (GI) tract, and help educate the medical community on methods of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
The Foundation is looking for experienced laboratory science professionals transitioning into clinical research. This role will support the Translational Research Program (TRP) at the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology and Alliance Foundation Trials (AFT). This role will serve as a primary interface between Alliance Translational Research Program and lead physicians, scientists, and statisticians as well as other Alliance Departments. The Translational Research Program is involved in active Alliance studies as well as studies with banked samples collected during Alliance NCTN trials and AFT trials. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Translational Research Program Operations.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and tracks Translational Research Projects, including but not limited to biospecimen use projects and biomarker data sharing projects, from initiation to completion
- Manages translational research relevant studies in internal and external databases including tracking and providing summary status reports
- Schedules relevant meetings, provides meeting summaries and manages action items in a timely manner
- Assists to ensure timely and accurate submissions and tracking of competitive and non-competitive proposals, relevant budgets, funding requests and renewals to National Cancer Institution
- Assists in completion of quarterly, annual, final and ad hoc financial reports for federal and non-federal supplemental funding

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
- A minimum of a BA/BS degree is required. Degree in a health or science major preferred
- Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Knowledge of clinical cancer research
- Strong Organizational skills/Project Management and attention to detail
- Strong financial and analytical skill required including budget development
- Strong computer skills including database management, spreadsheet and Power Point
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational abilities
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
