Tax Manager

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled and experienced State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager to join a reputable company in the tax industry. As a SALT Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and expertise in state and local taxation matters to clients. You will lead a team of professionals, manage client engagements, and develop and maintain relationships with clients.

Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of state and local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. They should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and expertise in state and local tax planning and compliance
• Manage and review state and local tax returns and workpapers
• Identify tax savings opportunities and assist clients in implementing tax strategies
• Research and analyze state and local tax issues
• Supervise and mentor staff and assist with their professional development
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Stay current on state and local tax laws and regulations
• Collaborate with other departments and teams within the company
• Contribute to business development efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in state and local tax
• Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of state and local tax laws, regulations, and compliance
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in tax research tools and software
• Client-oriented mindset and commitment to delivering exceptional service

Benefits

• Salary: $100K/yr - $150K/yr, salary negotiable
