Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct thorough reviews of income, expenses, and other financial data to ensure accurate tax calculations.
- Stay updated with the latest tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements that affect our clients.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients to minimize tax liabilities and maximize savings.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide clear and concise guidance to clients and team members.
- Assist clients with tax audits and resolve disputes with tax authorities as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to develop efficient processes and improve service delivery in tax compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or working towards CPA designation is preferred.
- Proven experience in tax accounting, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tax-related tasks.
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner to clients and team members.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
