  • Develop, publish and execute test plans and test scripts for complex, distributed applications throughout the QA Life Cycle
  • Write and maintain test automation
  • Promote and recommend improvements to the quality control standards
  • Serve as a mentor to junior staff on technical issues and best practices
  • Define and track quality control metrics such as defects and downtime
  • Define scope and objectives for all levels of testing
  • See that unresolved problems/issues are properly documented, escalated, and monitored.
  • Collaborate with project managers to determine resource allocation
  • Facilitate and coordinate the development and execution of cross-functional testing
  • Sign off on the completion of the test effort
  • Manage and assume responsibility for quality issues including coordination and follow-up with internal departments
  • Primarily interact with the QA and IT Development teams, while also interfacing with business analysts, project managers, and Operations managers
  • Interact with clients (Insurance Companies, Third Party Administrators, and Self-Insured Employers) and professional colleagues

Requirements

  • BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information systems
  • 4+ years of software quality control testing.
  • 3+ years SQL Query experience.
  • Proven experience and understanding of all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Experience independently leading quality control initiatives.
  • Experience in workers compensation or health insurance a plus.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Ability to define, implement and/or lead process improvements that will expand overall efficiency and software quality.
  • Must have experience with testing XML files and webservice tools. 
  • Must have experience testing web applications.
  • Experience with scripting languages and with automated testing tools such as Selenium Webdriver is a plus
  • Must have working knowledge of database and data modeling tools and concepts.
  • Knowledge of test environments, tools and infrastructure in an Agile environment
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, consultative and advisory skills.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
