Senior Tax Manager

Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking a Senior Manager for SALT (State and Local Tax) in Chicago, IL. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for advising clients on various state and local tax matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting services and solutions to clients regarding state and local tax issues
• Lead and manage a team of tax professionals
• Perform tax research and analysis to determine clients' compliance with state and local tax laws and regulations
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities
• Stay updated on changes in state and local tax laws and regulations
• Build and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• CPA or MST (Master of Science in Taxation) certification
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in state and local tax
• Strong knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively lead and manage a team
• Ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide innovative solutions
• Experience working with clients in a professional services firm
• Experience in SALT planning, compliance, and audit defense
