Job Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer

Job Location: Highland, IL (100% onsite)

Job Type: Full-Time with Benefits & Relocation

Description: With little assistance, design electrical/electronic products as assigned.

Roles:

• Collaborate in establishing design criteria to meet customer needs.
• Create unit designs based on specifications, sales data, or individual customer requirements.
• Coordinate electrical design activities with firmware/software engineers to ensure effective system integration.
• Supervise a team of engineers and technicians assigned to specific projects.
• Evaluate design concepts through theoretical studies, breadboarding, and prototyping, conducting necessary design reviews.
• Systematically document design and test data.
• Release approved designs to the Mechanical Engineering section, including schematics and electrical bills of materials.
• Optimize the use of standard parts and circuits, calculating stress information for components in the design.
• Draft Theory of Operation documentation.
• Verify accuracy of final schematics, printed circuit boards, and bills of material.
• Assist the Technical Writer in creating manuals and sales bulletins for designed products.
• Estimate material and engineering effort for quoted jobs, as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Maintain current engineering estimate sheets and work schedules.
• Generate quotes in response to sales/marketing inputs.
• Fulfill any additional assigned duties.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent qualification.
• Six years of experience in electrical design.
• Willingness to travel as required for training, project support, addressing product issues, or other design/job-related needs.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
