Who We Are

Econ One provides economic consulting services, as well as expert testimony, in litigation matters involving antitrust, class action, labor & employment, finance, health economics, intellectual property, and other commercial disputes where economic reasoning and analysis are particularly well-suited to addressing core questions. Our in-house expertise in applied statistics, data management, economic theory, and econometrics, is coupled with decades of experience successfully dealing with the specific demands of the litigation process.

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Analyst with experience working on a variety of projects involving antitrust, health care reimbursement, and damages issues. You will support the work of experts in locations such as Los Angeles, Memphis, Washington D.C., New York, and the San Francisco Bay area.

Senior Analysts work as part of a team on challenging and high-profile projects in a collegial work environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in economics and data and statistical analysis. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable undertaking complex data analyses. We are looking for candidates who take pride in solving complex data problems and creating excellent work product and are eager to work with a great team in the fast-paced setting of litigation consulting.

You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will...

  • Conduct research and analysis projects in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.
  • Construct & manage large databases and perform data cleaning & analysis using SAS and/or Stata.
  • Conduct independent data and statistical analysis utilizing Excel, STATA, and SAS.
  • Manage, review, and analyze discovery documents.
  • Independently gather data from public sources.
  • Make clear presentations and prepare written memoranda of analyses & findings. These include quantitative analyses; data summaries and investigations; and identification and summary of relevant issues from discovery documents, deposition testimony, academic literature, and public documents & data.
  • Check accuracy of work product.
  • Assist in report/exhibit creation.
  • Undertake fact checking/backup preparation for reports/exhibits.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

What It Takes To Be Successful...

  • MA or BA in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Survey Research, or related field.
  • Experience working with large, messy and/or complex data.
  • Ideal candidates come with experience in the litigation consulting industry.
  • Ability to work in SAS, Stata, and Excel. Experience with other analytical software is a plus.
  • Excellent quantitative/analytical skills.
  • Ability to apply statistical concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency with data presentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; dedicated to seeing projects through to completion.
  • Willingness to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to accuracy and quality work product.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
