Sampling Technician

Amplify Ag Illinois, a leading agricultural research and development company specializing in soil health, is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sampling Technician to join our team. As a Sampling Technician, you will play a critical role in our research efforts by collecting and processing soil, plant tissue, and water samples for analysis. Your attention to detail and adherence to established protocols will contribute to the accurate and reliable data that drives our research and development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from designated locations following standardized procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure proper handling and labeling of samples to maintain integrity and prevent contamination.
• Package samples for transportation to the laboratory, completing all required documentation accurately.
• Maintain meticulous records of sample collection, including relevant observations and location information.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Collaborate with scientists and team members to troubleshoot any issues related to sample collection and processing.
• Assist with data entry and analysis as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in a laboratory or field sampling environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic computer proficiency, including data entry.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel within a 250-mile radius as required.
