Three Gen Hospitality Group was founded in 2017 by three Springfield locals who shared a passion for great food, excellent service and beautiful spaces! Since then, Three Gen Hospitality has grown to successfully operate three diverse restaurants in the Springfield area. We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, hospitality-minded FOH Manager to join our team.
Job Description:
The FOH Manager is an integral part of our Guests experience. This position requires enthusiasm, patience, problem-solving skills and foresight. We are looking for leaders who can promote encouragement and staff progression in a professional and positive culture. The right person will have excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with employees and guests and be energetic and passionate about the restaurant industry with the ability to manage and inspire staff. The FOH Manager thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands what it takes to succeed in a dynamic restaurant. This is a salaried position with 40-45 hours/week expected. The FOH Manager will report directly to the Director of Hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead FOH staff in the successful operation of service
- Perform manager specific duties as assigned, including scheduling and staff education
- Communicate with the Chef about all kitchen-related issues, menu changes and updates relating to service
- Control the flow of service
- Handle Guest issues and complaints as necessary and in-line with our policies and values
- Work the floor, interact with guests, touch tables and avert potential problems
- Create a positive work environment for all FOH staff and promote cohesive teamwork between all employees
- Provide an extraordinary customer service experience by working with the host staff to welcome guests and by ‘touching’ all tables during service
- Recognize impending issues and take proactive steps to mitigate those issues
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, health department regulations and all federal/state/local laws; Always follow and enforce company policies and procedures
- Ensure daily reports and paperwork are completed
Skills and Qualifications:
- Values hospitality, excellence and integrity
- Takes a “coach and teach” approach with staff, clearly communicating expectations and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Builds sales and controls costs while providing an exceptional experience for our guests
- Has a training background
- Possesses an ownership-driven mentality and a hands-on attitude
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve and create solutions
- Two years experience in restaurant or hospitality management preferred

Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
- Proven customer service experience as a manager
- Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
- Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and PeachWorks
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Acute financial management skills
- BSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
