Full Job Description
Position Summary
Configure and maintain A&K touring products in the Travel Studio reservation system and support end users.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Enter detailed information in the Travel Studio reservation system, including suppliers, contacts, products, prices, costs, tour series, departures, tour descriptions, itineraries, contact lists, guide bios, and other features as needed to ensure company-wide consistency and integrity
- Conduct thorough testing and verify the following: GEO locations, elements, pricing, dates, durations, deviations, optional components, extensions, customer payment schedule, SOA window, inventory, advising, invoice, notes, cancellation schedules (passenger and supplier) and other scenarios as needed
- Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Reservation Sales, Finance, Documentation and Management to ensure timely and accurate tour component entry and system configuration
- Ensure that amendments to the tour products reflect any operational changes (e.g. addition of newly contracted accommodations, price adjustments, PM’s, promotions and tour amendments)
- Assist with Travel Studio software problems and resolve queries relating to system set up
- Assist in testing modifications, patches and new releases of the reservation system
- Communicate with Product Development, Documentation and Finance to ensure Product Build Charts are created to format, updated and that all information is complete so the build can be accomplished
- Build, configure and release tours within the specified delivery date based on brochure delivery date and/or web live date
- Perform other duties as required, including special projects.
Requirements
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy in data entry
- Must be proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to understand the flow of information from initial travel product development to the administration and maintenance of final products
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet required delivery timetables
- Strong multi-tasking skills and flexibility in adapting to new procedures
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels within the organization
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Must read/write/speak English
Education and Experience
- Proven experience and skill to navigate and understand a large variety of software packages preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Travel industry experience preferred
