This position is contingent on a successful award of a future GSA program.
Job Summary:
You will be responsible for implementation and management of agency-level programs, ensuring proper staffing, equipment, human and systems processes and measurement and controls are in place within the Weapon Systems Support department. You will also be responsible for oversight, management, and development of the assigned team.
Key Deliverables and Responsibility:
- Monitor and manage program performance and rapidly address shortfalls and negative trends. Work with various department managers and team members to surface and address contributing factors to these declines.
- Manage the agency-level relationship through both scheduled agency-level meetings and intermittent concerns and changes.
- Manage Weapon Systems Support programs and acts as the primary point of contact for DLA, other agencies, and non-US government NSN contracts. Surface potential changes from each agency and escalate for lobbying intervention.
- Manage new programs, ensuring processes and reports flow smoothly, staff and equipment are added at appropriate times and potential issues surface before they become problematic.
- Conduct customer analysis to review margin, growth, and loss within current customers.
- Track, manage, and oversee customer activities, including calls, meetings, and projects in designated systems such as: Goal Maps, SharePoint, Gateway, etc.
- Track, manage, and oversee internal projects in Goal Maps, SharePoint, Gateway and other designated systems.
- Oversee and facilitate implementation of new procedures, workstations, and automation opportunities.
Supervisor Responsibilities
- Recruit staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, mentoring, and ensuring consistent application of employee guidelines, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct team and one-on-one meetings and foster personal growth opportunities.
- Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising work; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of supply chain experience and 3 years of managerial experience. May include military personnel who have been formerly trained or have relevant experience in lieu of civilian experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to engage in and exchange communication with others in all situations.
- Highly meticulous and organized to execute multiple projects at once, adhering to deadlines.
- Excellent negotiating skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Self-driven and proactive in nature. Takes initiative to resolve challenges.
- Adaptable to varying situations and changes.
- Patient and able to train, educate, and re-educate team members on operational processes.
- Forward thinking individual who uses critical thinking to envision new ideas and improve processes.
- Adaptable to working early morning hours.
- PC proficiency in Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
